Wellness is often defined as the state of being in good health, both physically and mentally. However, to understand what wellness is, it's also important to understand what it is not. Here are some things that wellness is not:

1. Wellness is not just the absence of disease or illness. While being free from physical or mental illness is an important aspect of wellness, it's not the only factor.

2. Wellness is not just about the body. While physical health is an important part of wellness, it's not the only aspect. Many associate wellness with physical health, such as exercising regularly or eating a balanced diet. While physical health is certainly an important aspect of wellness, it is only one part of the larger picture. Mental, emotional, and spiritual health are also important components.

3. Wellness is not just about individual choices. While making healthy choices is important for wellness, there are many external factors that can impact one's health, such as access to healthcare, social support, and environmental factors.

4. Wellness is not a one-time achievement. Wellness is a lifelong journey that requires ongoing effort and attention. It is not a static or fixed state that one achieves and maintains indefinitely. Rather, it is a dynamic and ever-changing process that requires ongoing effort, self-awareness, and personal responsibility.

5. Wellness is not the same for everyone. What works for one person may not work for another, and wellness goals may vary depending on individual needs and circumstances. Men should explore different wellness practices and find what works best for them. For example, some men may prefer high-intensity exercise, while others may find that a slower-paced yoga class is more beneficial for their well-being.

6. Wellness is not a luxury. Some men may view wellness activities, such as getting a massage or practising yoga, as luxuries that are only accessible to those with more time and money. However, wellness is not a luxury; it is a necessity for a healthy and fulfilling life. Many wellness practices, such as meditation and deep breathing, can be done for free and require little time.
